Hi everyone! I just wanted to put together a quick post on my new all-time favorite tool for my home based business:

My AirRise desk.

Why I Love This Desk

We’ve all heard how unhealthy it is to sit at your desk all day. I mean, that’s the primary reason I wanted to switch to a standing desk.

Only…

The whole standing desk thing didn’t work out for me. My feet were just killing me by the end of the day.

I wanted to have the benefits of standing, but I also wanted to be able to sit once in a while.

Then I discovered this raising desk

I spend most of my time in the standing position now, but when it gets to be too much, I can lower it with a single hand.

It’s solid and strong (I frequently lean heavily on it while working) but the hydraulic system makes it a breeze to use.

You can raise it to any point between its minimum and maximum height. There is no ratchet mechanism or hard stops that could leave you at an awkward height. It is always the perfect height.

It is 32in wide and fits perfectly on my desk.

The price is steep: I paid $200 for it, but it is so worth it. (I’ve been told that it goes on sale sometimes down to $145ish).

I have used other similar models, but they have all been too flimsy for me (and my leaning bad habit). Or they have had the annoying hard-stops that seem to always be at the wrong place.

Or they just don’t have the real estate this thing does.

All-in-all, I love this thing. I recommend it to everyone and I just know you will too.

See if it’s on sale!

[UPDATE 2021] Hi all, I just wanted to pop in real quick to give you an update on this desk. I have now had this thing for 5 years and it is still going strong. It is exactly like the day I bought it. I use it daily and yes I still have the bad habit of leaning heavily on it.
